National Make A Difference Day was started to bring people in the community together to make a difference in their community and those in need. The idea caught on and has been celebrated ever since. If you are looking to Make a Difference in your community please join the Apache Junction Community Development Corporation, City of Apache Junction, local businesses and non-profits on Saturday October 5, 2024 from 8:00am until Noon for a day of giving back to your neighbors and community.
Make a Difference Day reminds us that with many of us doing a little, we can do a lot. Are you ready to make a difference?
When: Saturday October 5, 2024
Time: 8:00am until Noon. We ask that you arrive before 7:45am to sign in and get your volunteer t-shirt so we can start on time.
Where: Meeting Location: Silly Mountain.
The AJCDC Make a Difference Day will bring together volunteers from the city, faith community, clubs and organizations, non-profits, businesses and individual volunteers with a common mission to contribute where needs exist within our community. Work sites may include cleaning up of community parks, trash removal from neighborhoods, trail maintenance, planting native species, invasive plant species removal and through a partnership with the City of Apache Junction the cleanup and beautification of watersheds within city limits for conservation and beautification purposes.
