We are excited about all our current projects and grateful to all our wonderful volunteers who have committed to participating this year. Below you will find information about what will be happening, where everyone will meet the day of the event and what projects you have been assigned to. This information is subject to change so make sure to check back before event day for the latest updates.

Focal Point

Apache Junction Focal Point: This is located straight across from the Flatiron Park entrance which is at: 100 N Apache Trail, Apache Junction, AZ. Parking will be behind the Focal Point.

Meeting Time

Meeting time will be 7:30 am to 7:45 am so that everyone can get signed in, receive their t-shirt and get directions to their starting location.

Volunteer Waivers

Having a volunteer waiver signed and ready to go for each volunteer upon arrival will greatly speed up the the event and let us get started on time. Volunteer Waiver of Liability


Projects

If you want your group or organization put on a specific project please email Fox Young at fyoung@apachejunctionaz.gov

1. Silly Mountain

This project will involve cleanup and other various tasks at the park. Volunteers are encouraged to bring a rake or hoe as well as protective equipment like gloves and a face mask if you have them.

Meeting Location: Silly Mountain parking lot.

2. Focal Point Brick Revitalization

The focal point cleanup will consist of weeding, trash pick up and clean up of the barrel cactus. Volunteers are encouraged to bring protective equipment like gloves and a face mask. Volunteers can further help us save money and give more to the community if you bring your own tools like a rake or hoe.

Meeting Location: Focal Point parking lot.

3. S. Smythe Dr. and W 14th Ave.

This project will involve cleanup, weeding and other various tasks in the alley to clear debris from neighboring properties. Volunteers are encouraged to bring a weed eater as well as protective equipment like gloves and eye protection.

Meeting Location: 14th and Smythe.

4. Warner Rd.

This project will involve Justserve volunteers who will be doing clean-up, weeding and debris removal on a select property. Volunteers are encouraged to bring gloves and other PPE equipment as necessary for the task.

5. Think Desert

The Think Desert project is located at Flatiron Park, across from the Focal point meeting location. This is a kid friendly project that will be making minor trail enhancements, replacing painted stones, planting small plants, and removing debris and trash.
